Conservation Technical Assistance
The SWCD works with individuals, units of government, civic organizations, businesses and other to find solution to soil and water conservation issues on their property. This involves everything from an office consultation to developing a natural resource management plan or engineering plan for a piece of property.
Resource concerns that we typically address:
- Erosion control
- Stream bank and lakeshore restoration and stabilization
- Wildlife and pollinator habitat
- Water quality and quantity
- Stormwater runoff
- Ag waste pit closures
- Wetland restorations
- Groundwater
- Soil health
If we are not able to provide assistance directly, we try to connect landowners with other agencies and professionals who may be able to help.
